Company Overview

Company History

Since 1948 the North Texas Rehabilitation Center (NTRC) has been providing quality therapy services to people in north Texas and southern Oklahoma. NTRC began in 1948 as a treatment center for children with cerebral palsy. Today, because of the needs within the Center’s service area, the Center provides care for clients of all ages who have disabilities from birth defects, accidents, disease, head or spinal cord injuries, neck and back pain, and a variety of other disorders. Because of further community need, a 13,000 square foot Aquatic and Wellness Center was added to the existing facility in 2002. The Wellness Center provides additional physical therapy space on land and in the water, as well as access by the general public through memberships and classes. Last fiscal year the more than 80 staff members provided 33,600 physical, occupational, developmental, aquatic, speech, academic and social service visits to over 2,400 individuals. During the last fiscal year, NTRC received referrals from 422 physicians. In most programs, sponsored therapy services are available on a sliding fee scale. Today, the Center is the largest free-standing non-profit outpatient rehabilitation facility in Texoma.
