Over the past decade, Hemphill County Hospital District (HCHD) has expanded services, enhanced facilities, and strengthened healthcare access in Canadian, TX, and beyond. If you’re looking for a career where you can make a lasting impact, HCHD is the place to be!
A Legacy of Growth and Innovation
March 2012 – HCHD took on the construction of Mesa View Assisted Living, providing high-quality senior living in Canadian.
June 2014 – HCHD assumed operation of Canadian Family Physicians, strengthening local healthcare services.
January 2015 – HCHD expanded senior care by assuming operation of Edward Abraham Memorial Home.
October 2016 – HCHD extended its reach with the opening of Harvester Family Medical Clinic in Pampa, TX.
May 2017 – The Canadian Family Physicians clinic opened in a brand-new facility, along with a major renovation of Hemphill County Hospital’s main entrance and lobby.
June 2019 – EMS services expanded to McLean, TX, providing critical emergency care to a wider region.
October 2019 – HCHD formed Gray County EMS, delivering EMS services to Pampa and the entire Gray County area.
July 2019 – Groundbreaking took place for Mesa View Senior Living, designed as a modern long-term care community. Residents moved into their new homes in January 2021.

Full-Time Employee Benefits (72+ hours per bi-weekly pay period)
• Employer-Paid Health Insurance – HCHD covers your $775 monthly premium (a $9,300 annual benefit!). You can also add dependents at your own cost.
• Term Life & AD&D Insurance – $30,000 in coverage at no cost to you.
• Relocation Assistance – Available for qualified candidates.
• Education Support & Student Loan Repayment – Financial assistance available for career advancement.
• Shift Differentials – Earn extra pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
