Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

T he PT Specialist IV , Student Services facilitates the daily operations of Student Success . In addition to monitoring department operations and staff, this position works to resolve complex student account issues.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Facilitates the daily operations of Student Success
2. Maintain expert level knowledge capable of interpreting, explaining, and enforcing complex college admissions and registration policies and procedures for students, faculty and staff
3. Monitor department resources and activities, compiling reports and reviewing trends in order to gauge the efficiency and progress of the department
4. Assists with activities, staffing and student traffic
5. Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Strong a ttention to accuracy and detail
• Excellent knowledge of general o ffice and software applications
• Ability to prepare and analyze reports
• Possesses good organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize duties
• High level of customer service with staff and students

PHYSICAL ABILITIES :

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:

• Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
• Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
• Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED and at least 5 year s of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's degree

Hourly Pay Rate is $16.33
