Scope of Responsibility
An Acute Care PT utilizes Physical Therapy knowledge and skills in direct patient assessment, including determination of rehab potential, development of plan of care, establishment of appropriate rehab goals and a discharge plan. Appropriate delegation to PTA and PT tech to best serve the patient, department, and organization as necessary. Acute Care PT will also have frequent and effective communication and teamwork with case management, physicians, and nursing team is required as well as the ability to document findings in compliance with state and federal requirements.

- Education
- Must hold a current license to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Texas
Training and Experience

- One year of clinical experience as a licensed Physical Therapist in the outpatient and hospital setting preferred
- Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider
- Ability to work and communicate with multiple medical disciplines
- Basic computer skills
